One of the ways to help the Linux From Scratch project is by making
donations towards the project. Financial donations can be made through PayPal using a major credit
card.
If you want to donate other things, such as hardware for example, or can't
use PayPal, please contact Gerard Beekmans at gerard@linuxfromscratch.org.
What will my donation be used for?
The majority of donations will be invested in new hardware. From experience
you probably know that the big bottleneck in building an LFS system is the
speed of which the computer can build it.
LFS development also suffers from that same bottleneck. Simple math
applies: if an LFS system can be built two times faster, development speed
will increase two times as well since it will take less time to fix bugs and
properly test the fixes/enhancements.
Other than using the donations for hardware items, they'll also be used for
resources like books and cdroms (cdroms we send to people who can't
download LFS packages due to slow Internet connections).
