Every email sent out by the mailinglist software at linuxfromscratch.org
comes with a X-List: header. This header will always have the value
of the mailinglist the email came from. So this header for an email to
lfs-dev will look like X-List: lfs-dev and an email to blfs-support
will look like X-List: blfs-support.
We suggest you use this X-List: header to filter incoming LFS mail
to your mail folders. You can filter on headers like Sender:,
Return-Path: and others, but we don't guarantee that those headers
won't change. A reason to ever change those particular headers would be
when SMTP servers should bounce emails to a different address (SMTP servers
usually bounce to Return-Path: or Sender:) that can be an alias to a
program to deal with those bounces. Another reason is when the mailing list
software is changed, those headers may change as well.
